APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

Catamaran: Additional Cigna Customers will transition to RxClaim March 1, 2015

Important Reminder: Action Required on Cigna ID cards - RxBIN: 017010

Pharmacy claims processing for Cigna customers is being gradually moved to the Catamaran RxClaim Platform. As of March 1, an additional 261 Cigna clients, representing approximately 39,000 customers, will transition to RxClaim.

A full list of all Cigna clients that will be on RxClaim as of March 1, 2015 can be found on the Catamaran provider portal. If you have access, please log in at www.catamaranrx.com/pharmacies to view the list under Pharmacy Information. If you do not have access to the portal, send an email to Provider.relations@catamaranrx.com to request the list. You will receive a response within 24 hours. Put "Cigna March 1 Client List" in the subject line of the email.

Catamaran: Medicare Members of the Regence Health Plan in the Northwest

BIN: 610623 PCN: 02100000, 02110000

Today Wednesday, February 11, 2015 there was an urgent eligibility issue identified for Medicare members of the Regence Health plan in the Northwest (BIN: 610623 PCN: 02100000, 02110000 and 02120000) causing their claims to reject for coverage terminated. There is activity underway to correct this issue and reload the eligibility for these members and we expect this issue to be resolved within 24 hours. In the interim if you have a Regence member at your pharmacy in need of medication we would ask that you contact our help desk at 1-888-437-1508 for eligibility verification in order to fully dispense the medication as prescribed. If you are experiencing rejections for Regence members that are not at your pharmacy or are not expected to be within 24 hours, please attempt to rerun your claim in 24 hours.

Prime Therapeutics: Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC)

BIN: 015905 - Claim Rejections Related to Member ID

Participating Pharmacies may be experiencing rejections when trying to process claims for Covered Persons of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC).

The correct ID number contains the alpha character ‘W’ followed by a ten-digit number. The ten-digit number consists of the Covered Person ID followed by the relationship code found on the ID card.
