Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

Argus: Discontinuation of Submission of International Classification of

Effective: October 1, 2015

Effective October 1, 2015, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Transaction and Code Set compliance requires that all electronic health care transactions discontinue the use of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD) version 9.

Prime Therapeutics: International Classification of Diseases (ICD) version 10 Processing Information

Effective: 10/1/2015 - ACTION REQUIRED

Effective October 1, 2015, in compliance with Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Prime will move from the International Classification of Disease version 9 (ICD-9) to the International Classification of Disease version 10 (ICD-10) requirements for prescription claim processing.
