Beginning January 1, 2016, several updates will be made to our pharmacy benefits. UnitedHealthcare seeks to make prescription drugs and supplies accessible and affordable to members through our Prescription Drug List (PDL) and benefit programs.The tables below provide a summary of these changes as well as a list of alternatives.

This is a reminder that the UnitedHealthcare® Pharmacy Help Desk (PHD) is solely for use by our network pharmacies when they need to contact UnitedHealthcare’s pharmacy benefit manager, OptumRx®, to resolve prescription processing issues at the point of sale. The pharmacy help desk phone numbers should not be provided to UnitedHealthcare members. Doing so may increase hold times for pharmacies and could also delay resolution of a member’s questions or concerns. UnitedHealthcare members should call the Customer Service phone number on the back of their member identification (ID) card to have their questions and/or concerns addressed. Catamaran, an Optum Rx Company, would like to notify you of the Rx Group change for members of WECTEC. Please note: All members of WECTEC will receive a new member identification (ID) card as shownbelow. Please process prescriptions online using the WECTEC ID card information.

Health New England and Minuteman Health will no longer allow pharmacies to submit compounded medication claims with a clarification code of 8 (process for approved ingredients). When receiving a rejection on a specific ingredient, please check to see if this ingredient is on our compound exclusion list below. If it is a covered ingredient, please resubmit the claim with a different NDC number for the desired product.
