The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) has issued a notice stating that in order to comply with the Medicaid Services (CMS) Covered Outpatient Drugs Final Rule (CMS-2345-FC), Fee for Service (FFS) reimbursement on 340B Outpatient Pharmacy claims must be modified.

Aetna Better Health of Florida is an existing plan sponsor with CVS Caremark®.

According to CMS guidance, as described in Chapter 6 of the Drug Benefit Manual, “oral anti-nausea drugs used as part of an anti-cancer chemotherapeutic regimen as a full therapeutic replacement for an intravenous anti-emetic drug within 48 hours of chemotherapy administration” is covered by Health Partners Medicare (HPM) as a Part B drug.
